Early Life & Career

Syed Fardeen was born in Ranchi, Jharkhand, to an optician father and homemaker mother. He developed a passion for music at the age of 8, learning to play the guitar, drums, bass, keyboards, and piano by the time he was 15.

Right from the outset, Fardeen embarked on the journey of music with full backing from his father Shakil Ahmad and sister Syed Farheen Shakil. His mother, Nazma Khatoon, disapproved of his choosing music as a profession in the first place, but then the Internet invasion and Fardeen’s success started softening her resolve. Today, she is the most, if not all, supportive of him — ever pushing him towards his promising days ahead.

At the age of fourteen, Fardeen opted for devotion rather than any other activity that an average young adult would indulge himself in and instead spent hours devoted to frequenting in and out of practice while mastering different tools. He took up the role of a DJ as his first bet in the music industry, which turned out to be an important first step. Fardeen didn’t let music take control of his education either, or he easily combined these facets of his life.

Fardeen advocates for passion and education that they should go as a unit as they are two sides of the same coin. He holds a strong conviction that education is a necessary aspect of any human’s life. His love for music never waned, and he has always lashed back at the notion of living a passionless life comparing it to a ‘ship without a radar’. Fardeen has always been full of dreams and passion but in 2021 came a break in the form of the album “Dekh Mujhe Bhi” with Shweta Jean shared screen time. The said album was a huge hit and so was Fardeen’s profile among the youth.
